About

I love problem solving and the act of creation. My favorite projects have been the ones that I can see directly affect people’s lives, whether it be internal tools for coworkers or an app that my friends enjoy using.

For fun I do theatre! When I do scripted theatre, you’re most likely to find me in a Shakespeare production with The Baron’s Men. When I improvise, you’re most likely to find me with my improv duo Too Shy Guys or in a show at The Hideout.

TheatriCAL

Theatre rehearsals are notoriously difficult to schedule. Actors typically submit black-out dates on paper, email, or via google forms. Regardless of the method, theatre directors need to manually collate the information in order to schedule rehearsals. TheatriCAL puts all of the information necessary to schedule rehearsals in one place. Scheduling rehearsals has never been easier.

One to Grow On - GatsbyJS Site

Wanting improved performance and full control over the development process, I decided to rebuild the website for One to Grow On with GatsbyJS on the front end while keeping Wordpress as the backend CMS. It was originally developed in Gatsby 2 with Sass for the CSS processing. At some point I discovered Styled Components and gradually moved to them from Sass. Finally, I upgraded to Gatsby 3 when it came out, taking full advantage of the improved build speed provided by the fact that the upgraded Wordpress plugin used concurrent GraphQL queires instead of sequential REST requests.
